Religious Education

At St Michael’s Primary School, R.E. enables children to explore and learn about different religious and non-religious beliefs, values and traditions so that they can understand the world around them.  As a church school, our R.E curriculum has been created through a combination of the South Gloucestershire Agreed Syllabus and the ”Understanding Christianity” scheme, to ensure that children have opportunities to learn about world faiths and develop a deeper understanding of Christianity.  Through the study of R.E, we encourage children to reflect on their own place in the world, ask and answer challenging questions, respect others’ beliefs and develop skills in expressing their own views.
