Design Technology

Our design and technology curriculum at St Michael’s aims to teach our children the fundamental problem solving skills to research, design, create and evaluate a range of different learning challenges during their time at our school. Our whole school progression sets out the wide range of DT projects the children undertake. The emphasis is always on the endeavour to try and this is celebrated. DT is a wonderful subject to give our children the opportunity to develop their confidence and resilience throughout the ups and downs of the design process.

The children carry these skills into their whole class STEM project in term 6. We have had classes designing and making their own electric cars, gliders, toothpaste and rollercoasters. What will we create this year?
