Year four are enjoying their forest schools sessions every week. They particularly loved mud painting this week. Who knew mud could be so artistic?

Now that the building work has been completed, Year 4 and 5 spent a sunny morning preparing the raised beds for planting by turning the soil and adding compost. The children then planted lettuces, beans, onions and strawberries. At the same time, some children mucked into the manure to prepare the bags for our chitted potatoes and added a layer of good quality soil which they had turned over to remove any weeds and lumps. No work in the conservation area could be completed without a study of the pond which is teeming with tadpoles, newts and frogs.
