What a fantastic trip to the STEAM museum yesterday! Year 6 went back to 1939 to discover what life was like for a wartime child. Dressed in their WWII outfits, the children discovered what life was like being evacuated away from their parents and how smelly and cramped air raid shelters were.
Year 6 had a lovely afternoon hosting a teddy bears picnic for their reception buddies. Reception decorated their own biscuits, designed crowns for their teddy bears and had a story read to them. A great way to finish the week!
Today year 6 have invited their reception buddies to a teddy bears picnic they have organised for 18th May. Both year 6 and reception are very excited!
