Happy 90th birthday to Mr Hext who has been coming in to hear the children read everyday for a number of years. We hope he enjoys a wonderful day!
Last week our Year 6 children spent three whole mornings learning the methods of First Aid from bandaging to CPR. It is such an important lifeskill. They were fantastic and have certainly learnt a lot. The children that have passed will receive a badge and certificate.
A massive thank you to Mr Singh and Mrs Kaur, who have a child in school and own the Premier newsagents in the village. They gave every child at St Michael’s, including the children at Abacus, a box of chocolates yesterday. It is such a kind gesture.
The staff at St Michael’s would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
This morning we were entertained by the Infants in their nativity. Wow – what a performance that was, in Mr Vye’s words “They certainly sang with gusto.” One of the best Infant performances – well done children. Yesterday the Reception children performed their beautiful nativity to their parents. They all performed their part so well…
These children have only been in school for a term and are working really hard to learn how to write by forming their letters correctly and sitting on the line. Well done beautiful handwriting.
Wow – the PTA Christmas Fayre raised £2481 – a fantastic amount. Thank you so much to everyone who supported our event and especially our newly formed PTA committee.
James in Year 2 loved writing his Skull Island story. Such beautiful handwriting too. Why not come in to school to have a look at the fantastic displays in the corridor?
Our Year 1 children have loved writing their instructions on how to make a treasure map. Well done Poppy, Annie and Tilly.
