Reading Gold Awards

Congratulations to our first Gold Award Readers.  They are now working towards their Reading Ambassador badge.  I wonder how many more we can get this year?  

Plastic Bottle Tops

We are collecting coloured plastic bottle tops in preparation for a whole school art project in the Summer. Please send them into the office throughout the year, we are going to need lots of them in all different colours. No metal tops. Thanks.

Reading Week

We’ve had a fantastic time celebrating ‘Reading Week’ with lots of fun activities and events to promote the love of reading.  It all kicked off last week with the book fayre which raised £566.31, this means that we are able to spend £339.77 on books for the classrooms so thank you so much for all…

Pantomime Reminder

**PANTOMIME REMINDER** – tomorrow is your last chance to pay for the pantomime as we have to confirm numbers with the Bristol Hippodrome . After this date tickets will no longer be able to be purchased and the children will remain behind in school for that day.

Children’s University

Congratulations to the children who participated in the the Children’s University project this year.  They had fun along the way which culminated in a very special Graduation ceremony. If you and your children are interested in becoming involved this year, please come in and speak to the Mrs Cunningham-Smith in the office.

More sporting success

More sporting news – on Tuesday a group of Y5 footballers won the local competition held at the Winterbourne Academy and yesterday our Y6 quadkids athletic team came 2nd in the regional event held at Bath University. Well done one and all.
